PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has set a new Steam record. The amount of players playing PUBG has skyrocketed lately, so the fact the number of simultaneous players now has surpassed Dota 2’s “unbreakable” record has now fallen should not come as any major surprise.
This weekend 1349584 persons played PUBG, at the same time, meaning Dota 2’s record of 1291328 players has fallen to second place on the all-time-high list.
That being said, games such as League of Legends is not on the list, as they’re not on Steam. With LoL still holding the record with more than five million players. However, with PUBG’s growing popularity it might not take that long before LoL feels the pressure for most simultaneous players outside of Steam.
