Presentation + Hands-On Impression
Bandai Namco showcased their upcoming Ace Combat game during Gamescom. (You can see their video presentation below)
One of the creators presented Ace Combat, an ex fighter pilot for America. And he was pretty excited to show us what Ace Combat 7 has to offer. When (if) you watch the gameplay video with commentary be sure to look at how the weather condition can impact the fight.
You have to think twice before headed into battle with this changing dynamic weather. Problems such as icing, fog, turbulence, clouds and even thunderclouds can either be your advantage or a complete shutdown of your plane.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is set to launch during 2018 on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR, Xbox One and PC.
I got the chance to try out the game on both the PlayStation 4 and on the PlayStation VR.
And I must say playing Ace Combat in VR is amazing! and I totally recommend to play this game in VR in a seated position. I had to grab onto something multiple times so I didn’t fell on the floor or something. I played approx 10-15 minutes in VR and I didn’t feel the motion sickness kick in right then, but hopefully when the game fully releases the motion sickness would be less noticeable. Because the experience is amazing, flying through clouds, fogs and getting a icing problem is just gorgeous but deadly to look at. Controls are not an issue, easy to use and fun to master.
