PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrouds gets a release date on Xbox One

0

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ release date was finally revealed as the developer, Bluehole, took the stage during Paris Games Week. The game will arrive in early access on the 12th of December, this year. Beginning that day, Xbox One players can play the game through the Xbox Game Preview program.

«We’re approaching development on Xbox One with the same community-driven focus that we’ve taken with the game on PC. As a result, the ultimate battle royale experience that fans play on Xbox One will be slightly different than what players know today on PC.» – Bluehole VP and executive producer Chang Han Kim wrote on Xbox Wire.

Bluehole has also said they’re “on track” to release the 1.0 version on PC late December. And while the developers are working on both the PC and Xbox One version simultaneously, they note that each has its “own separate roadmaps” and will differ slightly from each other.

PGW 17 – Erica

1

Erica is a new PlayLink title that was announced during PlayStation’s Media Showcase in Paris. PlayLink is PlayStation’s new initiative that allows players to link their phones and play through apps rather than controllers.

And Erica is a live action experience!, meaning you are deciding what the character on the screen shall do, like an interactive film and game experience.

PGW 17 – The Gardens Between

1

Puzzle game The Gardens Between is coming to PlayStation 4 in 2018, developer The Voxel Agents confirmed during Sony’s Paris Games Week live stream earlier today.

The game is described as a “breathtaking puzzle game where best friends, Arina and Frendt, find themselves in a surreal world of garden islands.” Players will move both forwards and backwards through time to “discover each garden’s secrets” while “revealing a story about friendship, childhood and growing up.” As you can see in the trailer, each garden is full of giant-sized versions of everyday items; video game consoles, walkie-talkies and soda bottles to mention some of the items seen.

The Gardens Between was announced for PC and Mac earlier this year, with an estimated release for Q3 2018, so the same should be expected for the PS4 version.

Developer Pixelopus announced their upcoming title Concrete Genie during PlayStation’s Media Showcase in Paris.

Concrete Genie puts players in the shoes of a bullied boy named Ash, who uses a magical paint to create beautiful images on diverse buildings in his own town in an effort to bring it back to life.

PGW 17 – Oure

1

Announced at the end of today’s PlayStation pre-show, Oure (pronounced oh-rey) is a new PS4 indie title by Heavy Spectrum Limited, the studio behind Shadow of the Beast remastered.

“Take flight in a dream-like cloudscape as you seek to reawaken the relics of a lost civilization. As a unique child born with the powers of the ancient dragons, your parents cast you from the stricken surface into the land above the skies. There you must use the abilities of both your human and dragon forms to amass magical power, solve strange mysteries and seek out the enigmatic ‘Titans’ that can revive the world.” – Game’s description

More notably, the store listing describes the game as “non-violent”, which makes it all sound like a mix of Journey and Shadow of the Colossus, which to me sounds amazing.

The game is already out on the PlayStation Store.

PGW 17 – The Hong Kong Massacre

A new indie action thriller is coming for the PlayStation 4 during 2018.
This mix of Hotline Miami and Max Payne is set in Hong Kong (obviously) in a intense crimewave where you take the fight to the Triad.

PGW 17 – Detroit: Become Human

PlayStation has finally given us a release window for Quantic Dream’s next project; Detroit: Become Human alongside with a new gameplay video.

Detroit: Become Human will release during spring next year, and my personal opinion is that I might be a little afraid of that this might be a little too ambitious, even for Quantic Dreams. But if I’m wrong, and they successfully pull this off, this might this be in the range of being game of the year. And from what we can see from this new gameplay video, it surely looks intriguing and astonishing. Dark settings with extremely tough decisions to make and so on, I can’t wait to get my hands on this game.

PGW 17 – The Sims 4

The Sims 4 on PlayStation 4 gets more content for its launch! The new content will be an entire experience and not a port from the PC version. All the free updates will be available for the PS4 at launch. As you will see in the video below, the DLC allows you to take your Sims into the city, create vampiric Sims, as well as let them become the glamorous Sims they’ve always wanted to be.

The major selling point of the DLC seems to be the vampire content, as that seems to be the most interesting (new) mechanic to play with. The Sims 4, including the new content is launching on 17th of November this year.

So far City Living Expansion Pack, Vampires Game Pack, Vintage Glamour Stuff Pack and Perfect Patio Stuff Pack has been confirmed for the console version of the game. With the other DLC’s rumoured to become available at some point later, without any confirmation as of now.
