The global community of FINAL FANTASY XIV Online continues to grow as SQUARE ENIX announces the game has surpassed 16 million registered users worldwide. The new figure marks a new high ahead of the release of FINAL FANTASY XIV Shadowbringers on the 2nd of July 2019.
Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida also revealed several new details for the upcoming expansion, including:
- Battle system changes, including adjustments of role actions
- Updates to the FATE system, side quests, and job quests
- Adjustments to job synergy and rebalancing of jobs
- Various quality of life changes and UI updates
The Shadowbringers job actions trailer was also released, showcasing updates and new abilities for all jobs
Additionally, the official benchmark software for Shadowbringers is now available for download. It includes all-new Shadowbringer footage, as well as a character creation that allows players to view playable characters as they appear in-game. This includes the new races. Users who create characters using the benchmark software will also be able to take them into the full game as well. You can download the software here.
