Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe today announced that the Party Battle and the FighterZ Cup modes will soon be playable in Dragon Ball Fighter Z. These new online modes have been added to the game through a free update on May 9th. The first Party Battle event will be live today on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Revealed in a brand-new video, this new game mode offers new features for online fighters. In the Party Battle mode, three players will have to join forces in co-op fights. Cooperation will be the only way to stand a chance against the fearsome bosses. From today and until the 21st of May, players can form a team and take on their first challenge “The Emperor Strikes Back” to defeat Frieza.

The FighterZ Cup is a monthly competition where players can fight and collect points for their respective Z-Union. This free update also included new features and several improvements to offer the best gaming experience. To ensure game balance, some characters have also received few adjustments. Additionally, existing modes and features such as the training mode and the combo challenge have been improved.
