Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, developed by Ninja Theory, arrived in stores this August and has been critically acclaimed for how the game portrayed mental health issues. It is very obvious that Ninja Theory has done some incredible research while developing the game.
Now the developers has decided to donate all proceeds it receives from the sales of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice during the day (10th), as today is World Mental Health Day. The money will be donated to the british organization Rethink.
For the occasion Ninja Theory has made a new trailer for the game, which includes Hellblade-fans descriptions of their own mental health issues.
Some of the mental issues Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice tackles include psychosis, which is explored through the voices in Senua’s head, as well as how reality changes both for her and the players.
