This year at Gamescom, I got the chance to try Scrat’s Nutty Adventure.
Scrat’s Nutty Adventure is based on the little, unlucky saber-toothed squirrel we all know from the Ice Age universe. And he just loves nuts!
In this game, Scrat’s nuts have been captured by alien Scratazons, who have locked his nuts up in a mysterious temple. In order to get to his nuts, he has to collect four crystal nuts which are spread throughout the world. The adventure goes through scenery taken out of the ice age universe, which is filled with dangerous ancient creatures.
This game is, of course, made primarily for children and families. The developers have made sure to not make the game too difficult, with regular checkpoints. All in all a fun and forgiving game that might be a good first introduction to the adventure/platform genre.
Scrat’s Nutty Adventure will arrive on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Switch on October 2019.
