Yesterday, Paradox Interactive held a press conference where they announced quite a few welcome news. We are making a (short) summary about every game and DLC we got some news about;
Crusader Kings III
Crusader Kings III is the sequel to the classic Paradox Development Studio game about medieval conquest, intrigue, religion and high drama. It is a firm step in the direction of a new generation of grand strategy games, with new 3D character models and an even more detailed map. Designed to enhance the experience of Paradox veterans while being more welcoming to young squires, Crusader Kings III is a rich setting for an infinite number of new stories.
Crusader Kings III is slated to arrive in 2020, available for PC via Steam and included in Xbox Game Pass for PC.
Psych Ward: Warden’s Edition
Paradox Interactive revealed the latest expansion for Prison Architect, Psych Ward: Warden’s Edition, is launching on PC on 21st November, 2019 for a suggested retail price of $5.99. While Psych Ward has been available on consoles since 2017, Psych Ward: Warden’s Edition includes additional content not available in Psych Ward’s console release and will launch alongside a free content update to the base game.
Hearts of Iron IV: La Résistance
Paradox has announced Hearts of Iron IV: La Résistance, an expansion to the best-selling grand strategy wargame. La Résistance introduces a new espionage system to the game and also increases the range of interactions and options with resistance movements in occupied territory.
As usual, La Résistance will be accompanied by a significant free update to Hearts of Iron IV, available to all players. This update will include a reworking of the resistance system, interface improvements to battleplans and air operations, and many other quality of life improvements.
Battletech: Heavy Metal
Paradox Interactive and Harebrained Schemes today announced the Heavy Metal expansion to BATTLETECH at PDXCON, the annual celebration of Paradox’s global community. Launching 21st November, 2019 for a suggested retail price of $19.99 and included in the BATTLETECH – Season Pass, Heavy Metal adds eight new ‘Mechs featuring several classic designs, a Flashpoint mini-campaign, and eight weapon systems to the turn-based strategy title on PC, Mac, and Linux.
Age of Wonders: Planetfall – Revelations DLC
Paradox Interactive and Triumph Studios today announced Revelations, the first-ever expansion for Age of Wonders: Planetfall at PDXCON, the annual celebration of Paradox’s global community. Revelations launches on 19th November, 2019 for a suggested retail price of $14.99 and is available within the Planetfall Season Pass. Expanding the world of the turn-based strategy title on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, Revelations introduces the ancient Heritor Secret Technology, new campaign missions, and location mechanics.
Stellaris – Federations and Lithoids DLC
Paradox Interactive, a publisher and developer of games where this only sometimes means war, today announced on stage at PDXCON 2019 that Stellaris will get a major diplomacy-themed expansion with Federations later this year. The pen is mightier than the plasma launcher in this expansion that focuses on the galactic community and its internal politics with expanded capabilities for federations and the establishment of a powerful galactic senate. Additionally, Paradox announced a new species pack including a race of sapient rocks, or Lithoids, with rock solid new gameplay which is available for pre-order now for a suggested retail price of $7.99 and will launch on 24th October.
Surviving the Aftermath
Paradox Interactive today announced Surviving the Aftermath, the next chapter in the publisher’s Surviving brand, is now available in Early Access on the Epic Games Store and Xbox Game Preview. Developed by Iceflake Studios, the post-apocalyptic colony builder is being co-developed alongside the community with regular updates incorporating player feedback. Players who want to get in on the ground level and participate in the game’s Early Access period can purchase Surviving the Aftermath at an early-bird discount of $19.99. Surviving the Aftermath will leave Early Access and launch on Epic Games Store, Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in late 2020
