Last year we played one of their biggest releases Strange Brigade, which was a great experience. It comes as great news that the company behind it, is expanding even more.
UK developer and publisher Rebellion announced that they have bought the Yorkshire-based studio TickTock Games.
TickTock Games, founded by Arden Aspinall, Jonathan Wright and Paul Kelly, have worked with many major partners across their 12-year lifespan, including Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Nvidia and BBC Worldwide. TickTock have used their expertise on Rebellion projects, working on Rogue Trooper Redux and the Nintendo Switch version of Battlezone Gold Edition.
TickTock Games will become Rebellion North, the fourth games studio being a part of Rebellion, joining Rebellion Liverpool and Rebellion Warwick as sister studios to the company’s headquarters in Oxford. Rebellion North has already begun their work on upcoming Rebellion games, with titles yet to be released.
Bringing more great people to the company is a great way to start in 2019. The company continues to grow and it’s of utmost importance we bring in the right people. We’ve worked with the team at TickTock Games for a while now, and we know they’ll continue to prosper as Rebellion North. -Jason Kingsley Rebellion CEO and Co-Founder.
