During today’s Nintendo Direct Masahiro Sakurai Lead designer of the Super Smash series, was showing even more that will be in their biggest Super Smash game to this day. We got some new or should I rather say old characters that will be in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. But also a small overview of what content that this game will contain.
Starting of with the biggest news the characters!
The iconic character Simon will be joining with his trademark whip to kick ass, also Ritchter as an Echo fighter both from the Castelvania series.
Here is all characters that got announced.
- Chrom (Roy echo fighter)
- Dark Samus (Samus echo fighter)
- Richter (Simon echo fighter)
- Simon Belmont
- King K. Rool
Also a bunch of assist characters was announced and also stage exclusive “bosses” that appear when certain requirements are met. Like Dracula from Castlevania is one of them, that might appear and make the fight harder. But he will only appear on the Castlevania theme stage.
And when talking about stages there will a whole lot of them, not including Battlefield, Final Destination and Big-Battlefield the total of stages is 100. All redone to fit the game with upgraded visuals, except for the classic stages that they have wanted to keep a classic look to it.
- Dracula’s Castle (Castlevania)
- New Donk City Hall (Mario Odyssey)
is the two new stages announced both with their own secrets. Many of the iconic enemies from Castelvania will be showing up during fights. New Donk City Hall have Pauline and her band playing Jump Up, Super Star in the background.
Music will also be a big part of the game, with a huge collection of music to use both in-game but also to be listening on when on the move. Since there is possible to listen to the soundtrack in sleep mode. You can switch music on stages, with songs from the same franchise.
And that is all the highlights from Super Smash Direct, there where some hints that there will be a new mode revealed before release.
