One thing is for sure, I sucked at the gameplay in Dying Light, and yet again I got it proved again in Bad Blood.
Dying Light: Bad Blood is currently undergoing a early access stage on Steam as we speak. But this title will be a free to play standalone title when it releases. To get early access, you need to purchase the “Founder’s Pack”. But what is Bad Blood?
Bad Blood is Techlands take on the battle royale genre, or as they say it, “Brutal Royale”.
12 players enters the map infested by different types of zombies. Not only do you need to fight off these zombies, but you also have to defend yourself against other players. Because that escape helicopter only have one seat to safety.
You’re leveling up to get stronger, faster and more combat ready by collecting samples around the map. You can collect samples of the infected or by stealing other players samples by killing them. You need to be extra strong if you want to take on a infested hive!
There were two major things I noticed during my playthrough, the melee combat is brutal and by mastering Dying Lights parkour mechanics is the key to victory. The map isn’t a huge world to explore, you need to think fast and keep your eyes up for enemy players all the time.
Your weapon of choice isn’t guns blazing, but tons of different melee weapons and bow & arrow. You can find weapons such as swords, hammers, scythes and other throwable items and shields. Bad Blood is fast, it is brutal and it’s incredible fun to play. Hopefully the matchmaking will work properly when it launches.
