2K Games has released a new fact sheet for NBA2K19. Included in this sheet is;
“NBA 2K celebrates 20 years of redefining what sports gaming can be, from best in class graphics & gameplay to groundbreaking game modes and an immersive open-world“Neighborhood.” NBA 2K19 continues pushing limits as it brings gaming one step closer to real-life basketball excitement and culture.”
To encapsulate the significance of the 20th Anniversary, 2K have chosen the mantra of ‘They Will Know Your Name’ to represent the transition from rising star to household name. As such, they have carefully selected athletes for their 20th Anniversary Edition and Standard Edition, who 2K feels best showcase this spirit:
- LeBron James: 3x NBA Champion, 3x NBA Finals MVP, 4x NBA MVP and 14x NBA All-Star, ‘King James’ is undoubtably one of the most recognizable faces in basketball, leading the way in sportsmanship and success.
- Giannis Antetokounmpo: The 2017 Most Improved Player and 2x NBA All-Star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, A.K.A. ‘The Greek Freak’, is one of the most dominant players in the league right now. In the 2016-17 season, he finished the regular season in the top 20 for fofal points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals – the first player in NBA
