Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is an upcoming Lego-themed action-adventure video game developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on 14 November 2017. It is the sequel to Lego Marvel Super Heroes and the third installment of the Lego Marvel franchise. With the core gameplay following the same style of past Lego titles, the game features the ability to manipulate time and a four-player competitive superhero battling mode. Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2’s storyline will center around superheroes from different eras and realities of the Marvel Universe as they fight against the time-traveling Kang the Conqueror in a battle across space and time
At Gamescom 2017 we got a chance to test it out and to play against one of many bosses. For those that have played any of the previous Lego games it will feel similar right away. What they have changed about the game, is that they wanted to make it approachable for kids as much as adults. So enemies will now be smarter and more difficult to defeat and you have to use tactics to take them down. They will counter your attacks if using the same all the time, so you have to switch it up. You can still defeat them with the same attack, since that’s often how children play it. But it’s easier to switch tactics to defeat them.
Since it will played in different time eras, there will be different versions of characters that you meet through the game. So if you think there was a lot of characters in the original, just wait until the sequel gets released.
The open-world looks massive and will contain elements from all the franchises in the game, spanning from different ages.
It looks like it will be a big game with many hours of gameplay, playing through the story and exploring the world.
