Kencichiro Yoshida, Sony CEO had an interview with Financial Times, where he explains that a new generation of console hardware is necessary.
At this point, all I can say is that it’s necessary to have a new hardware generation.
It isn’t confirmed yet, but a lot indicates that Sony will focus on upgrading hardware specs, such as better performance. But many other companies, such as Ubisoft and Google with their Project Stream and Microsoft with their Project xCloud can indicate that Sony will focus more into this. If they are adding a whole new system or simply building on top of their PlayStation Now isn’t confirmed or talked about yet. It isn’t confirmed that Sony will have their main focus on streaming games either.
