Rekordinteresse for gamescom 2024: En bransje i vekst

E3 er kanskje blitt historie, men gamescom derimot fortsetter å vokse!

Male characters has been the norm in video games for an eternity. But who’s the greatest one (in my mind)? Note that these are all “human-like” characters, so Crash, Spyro and Daxter could not be included. Here’s my top ten male characters in video games!

10.
Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy VII)

Cloud - FFVII
Cloud Strife

Cloud Strife is the main protagonist in Final Fantasy VII. An arrogant and proud swordsman at first, Cloud introduces himself as a former member of an elite warrior unit called SOLDIER who has turned mercenary, and uninterested in anything beyond his hired task at hand. He later discovers the truth about his past and, with the help of his friends, learns there is more to being a hero than possessing physical strength and fame, developing compassion for the world and people he fights to protect

9.
Nathan Drake (Uncharted)

Nathan Drake
Nathan Drake

The main character in the Uncharted series, Nathan Drake is the video game version of Indiana Jones. With exploring old ruins and constantly finding himself in (almost) constant danger. A former professional treasure hunter, Nate is described as a “deep-sea salvage expert and action-pro.”

8.
Solid Snake (
Metal Gear Solid)

Solid Snake
He’s a solid character, that’s for sure!

Solid Snake, real name David, was a former spy. Possessing an IQ of 180 and fluent in six languages, he was known as “the Man Who Makes the Impossible Possible” and his exploits made him into a living legend among the military black ops.

7.
Vaas Montenegro (Far Cry 3)

Far Cry 3 - Vaas
Vaas Montenegro

The only antagonist on our list, Vaas is probably the best “bad guy” ever. He is also the archenemy of Jason Brody and Dennis Rogers and is the poster character for the game, being featured in numerous promotional materials.

6.
Lee Everett (The Walking Dead season one)

Lee Everett - TWD
Lee Everett

Lee Everett is the protagonist of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead: Season One. Convicted for murdering a state senator who slept with his wife, Lee is freed from this fate by the apocalypse and encounters a young girl named Clementine. Lee’s personality is, to some extent, up to the player, but he is consistently smart, independent and resourceful. Lee also cares deeply for Clementine. And might be one of the best “reserve” dads out there!

5.
Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Assassin’s Creed series)

Ezio Auditore
Ezio Auditore da Firenze

Ezio Auditore da Firenze (1459 – 1524) was a Florentine nobleman during the Renaissance, and the mentor of the Italian Brotherhood of Assassins, a title which he held from 1503 to 1513. He is also an ancestor of William and Desmond Miles, as well as Clay Kaczmarek.

4.
Wanda (Shadow of the Colossus)

Wander - Shadow of the Colossus
Wanda

Wanda may not say very much during the adventure in Shadow of the Colossus, yet he has a personality, and his fight for saving Mono shines through him. A young man with a clouded past, he travels to the Forbidden Lands on horseback in order to resurrect Mono. Dormin, a mysterious voice presiding over the Lands’ central Shrine of Worship, gives Wander a deal: if he can slay the sixteen colossi that reside in the Lands, Mono will be resurrected.

3.
Agent 47 (Hitman series)

Hitman - Agent 47
Agent 47

Agent 47 (known as “The Hitman” and “47”) is a highly skilled assassin, both in ability and in his techniques. His genetically engineered mind and body make competition next to nothing, and for this reason, Agent 47 is considered to be the greatest (and not to mention, most discreet) assassin in the world. Agent 47 was created by Dr. Ort-Meyer, as his 47th clone.

2.
Cremisius Aclassi (
Dragon Age: Inquisition)

Krem - Dragon Age: Inquisition
Krem de la Créme

Krem was born to a Tevinter tailor. Although raised as a girl, Krem realized he was different from the girls that he knew, and would often pretend to shave with his father.

Iron Bull says that Krem fits the Qunari concept of “Aqun-Athlok”, which translates in Qunlat as “born as one gender but living like another.” Krem asks Iron Bull if Qunari treat them any different than others to which Iron Bull replies they are treated like the men they are.

Link - The Legend of Zelda
One of many Links

First, it must be said that Link is not a single person, but a re-incarnation that keeps appearing through time in Hyrule. He is the everlasting hero of the series having appeared throughout the ages in a never-ending line of incarnations. The various heroes who use the name Link are courageous young boys or teenagers in green clothing who leave their homes to save the world from evil forces threatening it.
